When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesn’t see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning woman…who wants to crush the most intimate – and prized – parts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Christian Louboutins.

Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.

And now he has his sights set on Kennedy.

I really liked this book. Not as much as Sustained but it was still a lot of fun.

This was a very different book. All books are different but this one still stood out. I think it had to do with how self-aware Brent was. And mature and cool. It’s not something you see every day. The lack of angst was a big plus. In YA, angst is understandable, in adult novels, not so much.

This was a very cool read. At no point did I wanna pull out my own hair. The characters were bother great and I loved their history together and how it was handled.

The extended epilogue made me cringe a bit and I wasn’t as into the flashbacks but overall, I really enjoyed this book and I recommend checking it out.

Emma Chase is a great author who is brilliant at writing from the male perspective and is hilarious. You should definitely give her work a shot.
